Offered for sale by Caspar’s Place is an art nouveau sterling silver sauce or cream ladle in “Daffodil” introduced in 1900 by Baker-Manchester. The foliate design on the back is as pretty as the floral design on the front. The ladle is marked with Baker-Manchester’s distinctive mark of an “M” flanked by two birds, and “STERLING.”

The ladle is not monogrammed. It is in good estate condition, except for some odd damage or marks on the back of the ladle bowl – see photographs. In addition, it does have the patina of fine scratches to be expected with age and use. The piece’s price reflects its condition. This delicate looking ladle will make a lovely addition to any silver collection.

The ladle weighs approximately 0.52 troy ounces. It is roughly 5.875” long by 1.625” wide.
