ITEM:

For sale is a lovely and quite rare pair of art nouveau or Jugendstil small silver plated on pewter German solifleur/flower vases by Quist. These are small plated frames with original tube glass liners with cut circles around the top. Very stylish with a pierced leaf and stem pattern. Marked on the underside, difficult to see but are definitely by Quist, and through a loop you can read Quist with a star above it. Would date to around 1900-1910 approximately. Very similar to pieces by WMF, Orivit, Osiris, etc who would have been competitors at the time. They have a type of matt finish to them which is original. The glass tubes fit perfectly.....................NOTE that they are solifleur vases that would take a few stems in each.

CONDITION: 　

Good with a bit of wear to the surface where the plate has worn, seen where the darkers areas are-see images. These could be polished out? No dents or breaks to the metal. No chips or cracks to the glass, except a few tiny flea bites to the top of one. One glass is slightly thicker than the other.

If the item is over £50GBP in value and sent by Royal Mail/Parcelforce then buyer must ask for extra insurance at cost which can be done by using Special Delivery or increased insurance for international postage.
