ART NOUVEAU Passover HAGGADAH 1928 Vienna American Edition Noveau Jewish RARE

This is one of the most beautifully illustrated haggadot ever printed. It contains about a dozen colored illustrationsin art noveau style typical of the 1920s. There wereseveral editions of this haggada in a few languages (English, Hungarian, & German). Theonly major difference between the illustrationsis that the centerfold of this one contains theRabbi’s from the family of the Hatam Sofer.(The other haggada has the Rabbi\'s from thepast 1000 years including Rambam, Rashi etc seated aroundthe Seder table.).Both haggadot are rare and wonderfully illustrated. I’ve seen these haggadot go for between $150 to $300 at judaica sales.

Hagadah was printed in Viennain1928by the Joseph Schlesinger publishingfirm. The introduction notes that this is the SECOND edition, but I am in doubt if this refers to the Haggada in general or the second ENGLISH edition.

Contains64pages NOT including the prints.

Measurements: 9 x 12 inches.

Condition: Very minor staining on a fewpages. Spine a bit torn.
