ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Pottery isn\'t my thing. However, I know unusual items when I see them. There was a set of art pottery - most of itnot signed.There were some amazing items, not really sure what to say about them - these were signed \"GEO\" in a very distinctive way.I really need money for a biopsy, so I am throwing these outhere not knowing anything about them. I did come across a guy, George Edward Ohr, who had similar items - esp. to the unsigned ones.These are not as distinctive; however they are signed.Note the square nature of the letters, and how the G and E have extensions on the edges.

Both are very thick. Plate is 9\" across, weighs 1 lb 5 ounces approx.; has some glazing imperfections at bottom lip; some silver / goldish metal highlights mixed in esp around the edges of the blue and in the center. The very center isn\'t glazed. The glaze issues seem intentional. I highlighted the name on the bottom with flour in the close up, on the plate. A bit more rounded on the cup. Crackson the bottom of the cup, part of being made. Cup is 3 5/8\" tall, weighs approx 1 lb 9 oz. Glaze does not go down to the bottom. Note the first picture, the \'blueish\" spot, glaze is not there.Glaze is a bit different forming a\'swoosh\' here, towards the left.
Underneath this is very faint, under the glaze, almost writinghowevergibberish or intentionaly illegible.

To me, the whole set (not yet on ) is the most unusal pottery I have ever seen. The other items are \'crushed\' style, with metallic designs, odd glazing technique. I\'ve never seen anything like them.

I not only welcome your input, I really need it. I don\'t like to sell items I can not ID. Really need to move this pottery!
