Very Good Description

For your consideration is an antique Arts & Crafts period 826/1000 fine silver Serving Spoon, by N.C. Meyer of Rudkøbing, Denmark. The back of the spoons handle is marked with the three tower mark with the date mark for 1914, along with the assay master mark of Christian F. Heise who was active from 1904-1932. The spoon is also marked with the ‘D Hammer A’ mark which is for the Dansk Arbedje, which was a Danish trade organization which promoted Danish consumerism of Danish Products. Finally the back handle is stamped with the maker’s mark of N.C. Meyer who was active in Rudkøbing, Denmark from 1893-1937. This serving spoon weighs in at an impressive 117.2 grams and measures 11 1/4″ long by 2 3/4″ wide at the bowl. The handle of this serving spoon is decorated with an ovoid shaped panel of Art Deco linear ornamentation. The drop of the spoon is also decorated with a stylized blossom. The bowl is wide and deep and would be perfect for serving casseroles or dressing out of the cavity of a large turkey. The front handle is engraved with the name ‘Asger’ and the spoon could use a little cleaning however overall this piece has been well cared for and shows no evidence of any repairs, removals, or alterations. This serving spoon would make an excellent addition to any collection of Art Deco Danish silver work, or would make a fantastic gift for the collector in your life!

Domestic

All domestic orders are shipped using the U.S. Postal Service and each package is fully insured via private insurance. Some larger packages may be sent using FedEx or another shipping provider.
