PLANISHED SHEFFIELD PEWTER
COFFEE/TEA SET
CRAFTSMAN
EARLY 1900s
A beautiful four part coffee/tea set in pewter comprising two main pots, a sugar basin and a creamer. Each piece has a planished surface and a midway band to the body with faux studs typical of the Arts and Crafts/Mission style. The main pots sport ebonised fruit wood handles and matching stepped knops to the hinged lids. Made by Craftsman of Sheffield.
It is in very good condition with a soft patina to all pieces. The tea pot has a chip from the thumbpiece, there is a slight crack to the upper handle mount but it is stable and secure.
Displays extremely well, the planished surface affords a super effect in the light even with light patination.
