A top quality quite large antique solid silver circular box. On a flat round base, it has a slightly domedhinged cover. The cover and the main body have a hand beaten finish. The inside of both the box and the cover are very nicely gilded. Condition is very nice indeed. There are two very little dents just on the rim of the cover, mentioned for accuracy only. Could be easily straightened. The gilding on the inside is perfect, as is the hinge. The cover closes tightly. The diameter of thecover is about 3.3 inches (85mm). Slightly less on the base. It isabout 1.2 inches high. Nice gauge silver, weighing about 3.4 ounces (95 grams). Hallmarked to cover and base for London 1905. Makers mark WC. I would think it is a table snuff or Tobacco box.
