In POOR condition. BOTH PHOTOS HAVE SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE. Edges are rough and torn with intruding tears and missing pieces. Soldier photo has a hole, perhaps a bullet-hole, very close to the subject. Old maid photo has severe staining to the edges. Any flaws, if present, will be either written about here in the condition section of the listing OR visible in the photos. This sale is for a pair of antique CIVIL WAR ERA photos matted/printed on cardboard and without frames.

ONE PHOTO IS OF AN CONFEDERATE SOLDIER IN UNIFORM & THE OTHER IS OF A VERY OLD LADY IN FANCY DRESS CLOTHES.

I THINK THESE PHOTOS ARE THE CDV (CARTE-DE-VISTE) TYPE OF PHOTO; THE IMAGES SEEM TO BE DIRECTLY PRINTED ON THE CARDBOARD MATTING.

Although these photos are both in poor condition, with some artist restoration and display enhancement (such as putting a piece of matching colored paper behind the photos); they could still be worthy of display.

Year Made/Approximate Age: Originally, the photos were about 18 inches tall by about 14 inches wide. The damage has reduced these measurements by one or two inches.
