Barnett Collection - collected by Dorothy Bennett early 60s (google it).Ted Barnett sponsored Bennett to travel into the bush to collect original art from the Aboriginals. Half of the collection was bought by the National Museum of Australian in Sydney and half of the collection (400 pieces) were send to Barnett. The first exhibit of the collection was presented in 1995 under the name The Awakening Dream. (google it).In the late 1990s the collection was saleed of in Australia by Sotheby.This piece is one of the pieces kept by the Barnetts.Size 40x22\" weight 7 lbs. and in excellent condition.This piece is warped which is not unusual for bark paintings
