Austrian Solid Silver Sugar Box Bowlwith Figural Flower & gold wash interior c1910

Presented is afantastic Sugar bowl or box with a gadroon detailing around the sides and arose bud or floral sculpted finial and a gold washed interior resting on fourflared lion paw feet. This beautiful piece is marked for Austrian solid silver forwhat I believe to be 900 fine silver; American standard sterling is 925, sothere is slightly less silver in this alloy. While the lid and the bowl seemperfectly suited to one another and fit well; the lid is marked with the lettersRJ and the bowl is marked with Austrian marks and the letters WSB, therefor itis possible that they were matched at a later date or made by two separate makers.It has only one minor dent that may have had a past repair, no dings and onlysome fine scratches from gentle use and care and no monogram. It is a beautifulpiece and an excellent item for the silver collector.
