Wonderful antique inkwell of a cat in bed with night cap and red bow. I am confident this is a cold painted Austrian bronze piece from the 1800\'s. I do not find any markings, but honestly, the older Austrian or Vienna bronzes were not marked. This is 4 7/8\" long and 3 3/4\" tall. It is hefty at 2 1/8 pounds. Most of this is solid bronze, but there is a chance that the bottom plate and side rails of the bed are another metal. Nothing is iron, because my magnet doesn\'t adhere to any part. This is in very nice condition with just typical paint wear that you can see in my photos. The bronze headboard and bed posts are a little bent. I can\'t bend them back. The headboard is a little loose. And the ink insert is missing. There is some green oxidation in just one spot. I don\'t find any breaks or repairs.
