Authentic, untouched 1930s Monterey style solid oak chest of drawers [dresser]. Original, warm maple finish with distinct hand-painted Cowboy on horseback motif. Four drawer, plank top, hand chamfered, drawer fronts with hand-forged, forked ended, dimpled iron pulls. Bracket feet. Has traditional \"Monterey\" horseshoe brand on back panel. Rancho Monterey Furniture was created by Mason manufacturing company of Los Angeles in 1929 and marketed by Barker Brothers. The style was rustic, which fit the character of the Spanish Revival Architecture and Rancho style homes.
