Known to have circulated in the American Colonies during the Revolutionary War. Actually made legal tender along with other popular foreign coins circulating in America and retained its Legal Tender Status until 1857. Very popular!

Decent Mid Grade Piece, Decent detail. Good Color, Fairly Attractive Fairly smooth Surfaces, No corrosion but very light granularity. Just Honest Wear. Dig in obverse center, No Pits Edge Dings or Scratches. Later die state with die break behind Bust that weakens parts of Left Legend, otherwise Strong obverse Legends. Die breaks also on reverse near date and weakening left legend. Nice Clear and Crude Date. Nice Coin. Looks even nicer in hand.
