This amazing Chicago Ill. 1865 North Western Sanitary Fair Abraham Lincoln Memoria in AEterna metal byAnthony Paquet is made of bronzed copper. There were 1,000 medals cast at the Philadelphia Mint during June, 1865 ... 2 months after Abraham Lincoln's assassination during the Civil War.Memoria in AEterna means in eternal memory. Please note the faint line that starts at the top of Lincolns nose and runs through his face to the bottom of his ear ... legend has it that this line traces the path of the assassin's bullet. This line is present on most of the 1,000 metals! And think of this, it is 153 year old this year. Wow!
