Guaranteed to be original and as described --Ahistorical and rare hand written land indenture ...document from the late 18th Century. This document is from 1797 and was written by the power of attorney Peter Chassanis from Paris in the Republic of France. This is a land contract between Peter Chafsanis and William Constable. William Constable born in 1752 anddied in 1803.. he was involved in the \" Macomb\'s Purchase \" which was a historical occurrence in that there was a purchase of some 4,000,000 acres from the state of New York. ALSOthere were two other people involved in this land contract... Alexander Macomb and Daniel McCormick and of course William Constable. After the Revolutionary war..in 1792the state of New York was in financial turmoil thus.. giving up the landto these three men. Later on Alexander MaComb sold 2,000,000 acres to William Constable. THIS document is very rare and scarce.. and thecontent isof ... William Constable selling 20,000 acres to Peter Chafsanis.. Peter Chassanis\'s attorney Rudolph Tillier is mentioned in this indenture. The paper is watermarked as shown in one of the photographs. This land indenture also mentions Ann WIlliam Constables wife.. the document was drawn up on... February 18th 1797. William Constable was friend\'s with Benjamin Franklin among other important Americanfigure\'s of the 18th century... This is a VERY important document from the late 18th century with superb content. This historical documenthas wonderful content.. especially pertaining to New York and is a museum worthy example....SIZE: 14 1/2 inches high by about 9 1/2 inches wide...this is a EIGHT Page document....CONDITION: The condition is fine andas shown there are norepairs...please grade using thephoto\'s provided. There is some general wear. There is some wear to the edges and small minor tears.
