Authentic vintage Chanel caviar single flap bag in black. Gold hardware with CC logo twist lock closure. Woven leather and chain straps. Serial code sticker intact and reads 5465428. Manufactured circa 1999. DMC brand zipper on interior pocket with gold CC logo zipper pull. Comes with the Chanel dust bag, Chanel box and ribbon. Authenticity card has been misplaced.

***ATTENTION BUYERS: PLEASE READ!Do to the tremendous increase in scammers the last few weeks, I am including some info on how to help determine authenticity of Chanel bags.Older bags will have a 7 digit code and newer bags have 8 digits.Just because a bag has a hologram sticker and/or authenticity card, it doesn\'t guarantee that it\'s authentic. The numbers 1 and 0 in authentic Chanel codes from the year 2000 on, have distinguishing characteristics as opposed to replica 1\'s and 0\'s. Also, Chanel uses very specific brands of zippers such as Opti DMC or just DMC, Lampo, Eclair, EP, 3 C\'s in a circle zipper, (not sure of brand name) and a few others. Ask to see a photo of the zipper if you aren\'t sure about authenticity. Some of the newer replicas are using EP zippers now as well as fake hologram code stickers and cards. As far as the hologram cards go, replica hologram cards have a rainbow affect in the gold edging that sometimes shows up in photos.
Chanel never uses the same serial code twice. Also, sometimes the hologram sticker is missing. This does not mean that the bag is a fake. The sticker may have fallen out over time or it may have been removed by the previous owner. Chanel didn\'t start using the hologram until the mid 1980\'s. If the bag has no hologram you can check the other things like the zipper, stitch count, etc.or messagethe seller for more info.
Also, please be advised that many scammers are now making new accounts then stealing photos of actual real and reputable seller\'s bags and listing them for sale. Please always copy and paste the title of the bag in the search bar to make sure there are not multiple listings and exact photos of the same bag listed with someone else. Always read seller\'s response to see if they have ever dealt in high fashion merchandise either buying/or selling. These are just some of the things that can help you to not get scammed. If a seller has little or no response, check the response they do have as a \"Seller\" and if not you can message them for info on the bag such as where it was purchased, how long they have had it, etc. Some scammers are even hacking into accounts that haven\'t been active in a long time and posing as the account owner and listing stolenphotos and textof from legit sellers or listing fake bags. Again, check the response. For example, if the seller hasn\'t had response in a year and any response they DO have is for selling used cell phones or something, then it\'s best to contact them and ask questions or ask for more photos.
Another thing to keep in mind regarding prices is the old saying \"If it\'s too good to be true, it probably isn\'t.\" Of course there are some exceptions to these examples but DO YOUR RESEARCH. I apologize for the long, drawn out paragraph but I am tired of all the replicas and the fraudulence that\'s occurring lately and have been doing all I can to help reduce it. Thank you!!
