The swan form box iscovered in carved patterns and figures that can best be described asmythological renderings. The swan boxmeasures 5\" side to side x 11\" tip to tail x 7.5\" high andweighs a little over 1 kg. The cinnabarlacquer depth is over 125 mil and layer thickness about 0.75 mil, that\'s over160 layers and therefore days before carving began. The interior is black lacquer and the shellseam is brass, a little tarnished in places. Areas of the design may incorporate a Burnt Sienna wash for highlights.By the artisan\'s hand, some incomplete and sometoo deeply carved places can be found on close inspection, otherwise in greatshape. Has its original protective box.
