A fine old authentic Inuit Eskimo stone carving depicting a reclining seal dating from the mid 1900\'s. The sculpture originates from the Port Harrison community of Canada\'s arctic north. Carved in beautiful natural realism from a deep dark green stone with natural striations. . The seal measures 5\" long x 2 3/4\" tall and is signed \"johnny \" and syllabics to the bottom. The sculpture is good condition with some minor scratches typical of age and handling, no repairs noted.This fine sculpture will make a great display item and a fine addition to anyone\'s collection.
