Collection of Signatures:
Civil War and
Post Civil War era
Generals, Soldiers and Political Leaders
leaved into 2 vol. book setAutobiography of Seventy Years
in 2 volumesBy George Hoar
New York, Scribner\'s Sons - 1903

2 volumes are in mylar covers,
housed in a custom fit real value here (although the book set is worth $100-$150 itself)
is the collection of80+ signatures from the 51st Congress, 1890.The collection was gathered by Senate Page George S. Seymour. The original albumwas disbound andleaved into these volumes,
alongwith a presentation page,
as a gift from the husband of \"Taddy Bell\" in 1916.I have gone thru and listed every signature in order,
and checked it against the list of Senators for 1890.
(there is one missing, but I forget who it was.)
(all the \"big names\" are here ... See the list below ...)A few of the autograph leaves have a little offset browning,
as over time there were obituary notices of some of the
Senators tipped in with the signature. There are also two letters written by George Hoar.An amazing collection, including many Civil War
Veterans and Politicians - Please check out the list below. For comparison, at the time of this listing (3/11), I find the following signatures offered on at the associated prices : Wade Hampton ($250-300), Francis Warren (MoH) ($100-300), Zebulon Vance ($500), Isham Harris ($250), Matt Ransom ($475), Randall Gibson ($200), Matthew Quay ($125-150), Edward Walthall ($900), and Francis Cockrell ($450) - Just the low value on these 9 clipped signature comes to over $3000.I will not drop my asking price any align=\"center\">Signatures inorder : Volume Hoar, MA : Politician, equal rights advocate
