(PUBLISHING) MURRAY, JOHN, IV. Autograph letter signed, 3 pages, measuring approximately 4 1/2\" x 7\", on printed letterhead of 50, Albermarle Street, W., 11 December 1893. To Archdeacon Watkins, sending thanks for his letter and replying concerning unspecified literary business: \". . . I imagine that . . . you would prefer to postpone publication till April. I have kept space in the January No for your article but . . . I have a tendency to be over-crowded, and if you would prefer postponement it could easily be managed. [Mr Prathero takes up his Editorial duties with the April No.]. . . .\" Minor soiling and wear; in very good condition overall.
Sir John Murray IV (1851–1928); English publisher who served as publisher to Queen Victoria. Among other works, he published Murray\'s Magazine from 1887 until 1891. Authenticity guaranteed.
