Up for sale is this awesome sputnik chandelier made by the german company PALWA or PALME around 1960-70. The adjustable in height chain hanging sputnik fixture is made of gilt brass and metal for 4 X E14 european standard bulbs to illuminate. It has 45 thick and heavy glass drops of different sizes which vary from 8 cm / 3.15 in. to 20 cm / 7.87 in. long with a width of 4 cm / 1.57 in. each. The total length of the lamp is approx. 100 cm / 39.37 in. , the body is 35 cm / 13.78 in. tall and it has a width of 42 cm / 16.54 in.. The wiring is perfect, so it is in fine working order. The great chandelier is made of best materials and is of high quality. After years it stays in very good almost perfect original vintage condition, see pictures. To guarantee a safe shipping all glass drops will be taken away and packed separately. This precious lamp is a beauty, an eyecatcher and a rarity. It would be a perfect addition and upgrade for any midcentury modern or luxury furnished interior.
