These limited edition candlesticks by Bing & Grondahl from 1987 are fabulous. They were made the the year that B & G merged with the royal family of Denmark. These are commemorative of this historical event. B & G has long been known for its exquisite high quality porcelain creations, and these candlesticks are no exception. They present in excellent condition, with no flaws or defects; and are made of the finest porcelain. When you remove the candle holder, these delicate beautiful bottoms can be used as small vases. These bottom pieces are in a beautiful B & G graduated light blue, with 2 small openings 3/4 of the way up. There is a pastel green stem separating the 2 openings. The stem leads to a light pink and light green flower. The scalloped candle holders fit into these light blue bases. They are the same light pink and green as the flowers on the base, with white on the outer sides. In total, the weight of the pieces is 1 and a 1/4 pounds. The vases measure 5 and a 1/2 in tall, and 5 and 7/8 in with the candle holders inside. The candle holders measure 3 and a 1/4 in wide. All the pieces are marked with the B &G makers mark on the underside. These delicate beauties are made to be displayed and admired. They are truly special, highly collectable pieces.
