Absolutelybeautiful French Limoges porcelain chocolate pot from Blakeman and Henderson featuresa portrait of a Regency woman standing in a forest holding a leaf and a bouquetof posies. Her expression is pensive, makes us wonder what she’s thinking about as she’swalking among the trees…a lost love, perhaps? Chocolate pot is signed and waspainted by the artist “DuBois” (see photo). Entire pot is decorated (hand painted),as well as the lid. This stunning chocolate pot was purchased as a stand-aloneitem from an estate sale and did not have any accompanying cups or saucers. Itbears two stamps: one in red that reads “B & H LIMOGES FRANCE” and a greenstar with LIMOGES printed inside of it and the word FRANCE printed underneath.

Dimensions: 9-3/4”high, approx. 5” in diameter at widest point. About 6-3/4” from tip of spout toedge of handle.

Condition: Excellentoverall condition. No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Inside of pot is clean. Gold has VERY little wear to it, however there is one instance of paintloss to the rim where the gold paint has flaked off (please see photo). Theleaf in the woman’s hand also has a gap on it, but we are unsure whether thisis due to paint loss/rub-off or just the way the artist painted it.
