This is a WW2 vintage military radio receiver transmitter. This is type SCR-288 BC-474A. The SCR-288 was originally made for export to Sweden by RCA in the late 1930\'s. When it became apparent that the US was going to be involved in the War, the Signal Corps was surprisingly short of field radios so they decided to stop exporting the SCR-288 and adopt it for the US Army to use. The radio transmitter coverers 3500-6300 KHz AM and CW at 4 watts. The radio receiver covers 2300-6500 KHz. This radio is in good overall condition. It has scratches and paint chips on the outside case. I have not tested this radio. It can be returned for a refund if not happy.
