BEAUTIFUL LARGE PAIR ANTIQUE FRENCH GILT BRONZE CURTAIN POLE HOLDERS-1880\'SThis is a beautiful large pair of antique French ormolu curtain pole holders dating from the 1880s.They have a wonderful warm rich gold patina and have a cartouche of shells in a garland of acanthus leaves and the base is a double acanthus leaf curl. The fixing tube is hollow and would fit over a large screw or post and there is a hole for fixing at the base finial. Each piece measures 14 ins long by2 & 1/2 ins wide and stands out from the wall 7 & 1/2 lns.Perfect to support a curtain pole or could be used as curtain tie backs and they make gorgeous shelf support brackets too!
