BEAUTIFUL FINE QUALITY ANTIQUE CHARLES EDWARD NIXONSILVER PLATED SALVER / TRAY
A beautiful, fine quality, Antique, c. late 19th century, heavy, electroplated salver by quality English Silversmith, Charles Edward Nixon of Sheffield. A stunning circular salver with beautiful, ornate, engraved, scrolling fern decoration. This pretty decoration forms a rare, vacant cartouche to the centre, ideal for you to personalise this yourself, if you so wish. With superb, ornate, cast, scroll and shell decoration to the rim and set on 3, unusual, claw and ball feet / supports (see pics).
Highly Collectable, Finest quality, Perfect for entertaining in style and impressive displays.Ideal for drinks / cocktails / tea sets.
Measures 12\" diameter x 1\" high approx.A beautifully well made sturdy tray and a good heavy weight 790g approx (unpacked)
Marked (see pics) makers mark for C.E Nixon of Sheffield.
In reasonable, clean, bright condition. No dents. Some rubbing to the plated finish (see pics) and Minor fine surface scratching commensurate with age / use. Worth Re plating! N.B: Any large black marks you may see on the pictures are reflections of the camera and not on the item.
