BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE FRENCH LINEN SHEET, CURTAIN, TABLECLOTH, SUPERB FABRIC

This is really such a charming sheet with lovely country style character. Although it dates to around 1900 this sheet is unused. It still has a little of the sizing left in the fabric, hence the slight creases. It is getting harder and harder to unearth decent antique sheets and to find a piece in such good condition is always exciting.

This fabric was woven by hand on the narrow looms of the 19th century and then joined by a row of tiny hand stitches to make up this sheet. The beautifully worked rembouréemonogram of the letters BP is set across the centre seam, above an attractive, simple drawn thread hem. Bottom hem is also hand stitched. All in all a lovely antique textile.

Colour is a cool biegey-biscuit with the wonderful uneven striations and slubs that are so often found on these older textiles. This sheet would make an excellent tablecloth for a country style table or a lovely drapey curtain.

Generally well stored with a light dusting of storage spots on the front which will go as the sheet is soaked and washed - please contact me if you would like information on caring for vintage linens.

There is no tracking on any Royal Mail services however all items are sent by Signed For services which include insurance.

Items will be posted within three working days of receipt of payment but if I\'m away on a buying trip there might be a 2-3 day delay in posting an item - please forgive me!

Multiple items can be shipped from France in a 7kg \"Colissimo\" box. Cost is £45 to anywhere in the world; service is by air, tracked and insured and takes about 10 days. Please ask me for details.
