Description

This whimsical vintage candy container dates to the 1920\'s, and was made in Germany, although it isn\'t marked. Her face is a thin celluloid mask face, with really lovely features, and real mohair curls. Her body and head are made from composite - a combination of sawdust, glue, plaster and sometimes paper, and covered in wonderful brown flocking. Her ears are stiff, and lined with a patterned thin fabric. She has a woven silk bow at her neck, and a tiny white rabbit fur tail. She is standing, and I think she is a girl bunny, not a girl in a bunny suit!

Her head comes off, so that candy can be stored inside as a treat. She measures 4 3/4" to the top of her ears. She has a lovely darkened patina (the aged look that items get over time) - her face is slightly darkened. Overall, she is in excellent vintage condition. She has no breaks, damage or "re-glues". She is really exceptional, and won\'t disappoint.
