Description:
This is a BEAUTIFUL D & E ?(a.k.a. Juliana) style all prong set faceted marquis cut and faceted chaton cut rhinestone crystal gold tone brooch. I believe it is circa 1960\'s. (I haven\'t had it verified so I don\'t know if it is D&E.) The rhinestones are fall / earth tones with shades of green, topaz and amber with a black center chaton cut rhinestone. It has all the characteristics of a D & E including the fleurette in the center, the three dimensional design with 3 layers building up to the center stone, the combination of lipped open back and closed back rhinestones, the solder puddling in the metal work on the back, and the amazing quality and construction that have enabled this piece to be this beautiful and sparkly after over 50 years!!Size: It is approximately 2 inches across.
Closure: Hinged pin type clasp with sliding \"c\" closure
Condition: Excellent pre-owned condition - The only thing I found wrong with this brooch are 2 tiny scratches on the center rhinestone and 2 more on the side of another stone - other than that - it is really beautiful!Please look at all the pictures so you can see what I have tried to describe and then if you have any questions - please email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.Items in the pictures are enlarged to show detail - please refer to the measurements for size.
