Union case with unusual beltand buckle pattern and in an unusualchocolate brown color.Tintypeor ambrotype photo inside (I\'m not certain which) of acute little girl.

The case when closed measues 3 1/4 X 3 3/4 X 1 inches. The inside window measures approximately 2 1/2 X 3 inches, which make this a 1/6 plate case.

Overall, the case and photo are in great antique condition, for its age. The color is bright and shows little very little handling wear considering the age of the case. The hinges are in excellent condition and the case snaps shut, opening and closingeasily as designed. There is a repair to the top left corner as seen in the 6th photo below. The repair was not very well done and will need to be re-glued. A fine droplet of glue has run down the left hand edge from the repair. I will leave the repair up to the new owner. None of this detracts from the beauty of the case. The photo and interior are in excellent condition as seen below.
