BERTWAS BORN IN BO\'NESS ON 20th DECEMBER 1904. HE JOINED HEART OF MIDLOTHIAN 1924 AND WENT ONTO PLAY FOR BO\'NESS, READING 1928, SHEFFIELD UNITEDIN 1930. HE MOVED TO SOUTHEND UNITED IN 1934. VERY SADLYBERT PASSED AWAY IN 1961.
