BEZALEL GUR ARIEH Original Painting PALESTINE JEWISH Art MOTHER Child Palestine

This is a drawing worthy of any Sotheby’s sale. It was made by Meir Gur Aryeh, one of the most famous of the Betzalel School of Jewish Art teachers. I assume it was made sometime in the 1920s or 1930s. I personally have not seen this get printed so what you have is not only original but rare as well. I’d call it “Mother & Child”.
Gur Arieh’s name is signed in Hebrew by pen. There are also pencil notations on the bottom right hand sand in regard to the drawing. I believe it has to do with the colors and texture of this print.

The drawing itself measures 8 x 12.5 cm = 3 x 5 inches.

I cannot say enough that this is a true collector’s item, sure to increase in value as the stock of Bezalel pieces get harder and harder to come by!

Condition: VERY GOOD. On the lower left hand side (which is blank, no writing) the paper is folded. This was drawn on thicker than normal paper. The paper (thick)itself is 8 x 9.5 INCHES.
