I am selling part of my Bezalel plaques collection. All of these plaques were designed by expert craftsmen at the Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem,Palestine. Most likely by Ze\'ev Raban who designed and/or oversaw the many projects and art works that were made in the heyday of the Bezalel School from the 1920\'s to 1950\'s.This plaque is one such fine example which will adorn yor hom and/or make a wonderful thoughtful gift to the ones you love. All it needs is a fine frame to put it in.

This frame depicts the Tower of David at the entrance of the Old City of Jerusalem as it looked about 100 years ago. The plaque has on it engraved the Bezalel logo in Hebrew and the world Jerusalem (Yerushalem). The design for this plaque is from the British Mandatory Period, done anytime between the 1920\'s to 1950\'s. These plaques were usually put in a wooden frame and then sold to tourists or visitors to the Bezalel Academy\'s overseas Jewish Art Exhibits. When framed these pieces fetch anywhere between $800 to $2000 EACH!

I personally have cleaned this piece myself, making it look quite presentable though there are techniques out there which can make this look really old as well. But Ilike that my customers see exactly what they are getting. I also should say that this piece as well as the others I am selling here on are authentic Bezalel pieces, there\'s just no way of me knowing when these were made. Dates vary from anywhere from the 1920\'s till the 1950\'s when the original molds to make these pieces were still in use.

This particular piece measures 26.5 x 12.5 cm = (10 1/4 x 5 inches) (includes the 1.5cm margin). Excellent condition.
