Offered here is a beautiful older HORSE fetish carving by Native American Zuni Pueblo Indian artisan: Herbert (Herb) Halate or his nephew Dion Terrazas. This piece is carved from a beautiful, nearly flawless piece of black Jet. The horse has tiny inlaid turquoise dots for the eyes. It is sporting a simple medicine bundle of a triangular shaped piece of turquoise.

SIZE: This carving measures just about 3 inches long. It is just about 1&7/8 inches high to the tip of the ears and is about 3/4 of an inch wide.
Please note: that the photos are highly magnified so please be sure to look at the photos with the hand and quarter to get an idea of the size and scale.
CONDITION: Beautiful condition. Like New. Comes from an Estate Collection. Exact age is unknown.
AUTHENTICITY: This is an authentic Native American hand-carved item and comes from the Zuni Pueblo in northern New Mexico (USA). This piece is unsigned. Herb and Dion\'s styles of carving are very similar.
ATTRIBUTES: In native tradition, each animal is believed to have inherent powers or qualities that may aid the owner of a fetish carved in the image of that animal. The horse represents strength, swiftness, and enlightenment. He also possesses healing powers.
