This attatchment is used for darning socks on Singers Vintage Lockstitch Family Sewing Machines. It fits the Featherweight 221, Singer models 15, 66, 99, 201, 301, and the 401. The part number is stamped : 35774 Simanco USA. The original box and pamphlet are also included.The blackside finish came out in WWII when chrome was reserved for the military. Singer called the finish \"Black-Oxide\" in reference to the process in which it was produced. The darner is in excellent condition.
