BOB MONTANA (1920 - 1975) started out as a freelance illustrator before hiring on with MLJ and working on several features there. His fame was assured when he was given the Archie comic book (based on the Henry Aldrich radio play). The book was a huge hit, and Montana continued drawing stories and comic strips of the character until his death in 1975.

This original art daily comic strip is from Archie, and is dated 8-2-69. The image area measures 18" x 5.25" and the art is in very good condition, with some overall aging and discoloration of the mechanical tones.
