This saleis fora \"Buckeye\" chime whistle.

Buckeye BrassWorks, Dayton Ohio steamchime whistle. 18 1/2\" tall,4\" in diameter with a bell length of 10\". The pipe thread inlet is 1\", the chamber lengths are 7 1/2\", 8 3/4\", and 10\". This whistles weight is14#.

I completely restored this Buckeye steam whistle. The bell is polished, and has notbeen re machined. The number 11 can be found on the whistles original lever and on one of thehexflats of the base. I tested this Buckeye whistle at 160 psi , the long chambers on this size of Buckeyechime whistle add to its beautiful sound.

Use ofthis size of Buckeye steam whistle spans wellover 100 years. Theycould be found on short line and logging railroads, steam traction and portable steam engines, steam sawmills, river boats and factories.

The pipe flange and brass nipple, 1\" whistle mounted on a pipe flange, yellow tape measure, and5\" tallcan of soup, are shown for comparison and are not a part of this sale.
