Here is a nice Baldwin Manufacturing Company laying, clucking hen.
It was made in Brooklyn, New York.
Sad thing is, she has no eggs to lay with her. Apparently they go into a hole in her tail feathers and come out on her side.
She does still make a clucky noise when you turn her handle.
Her paint and graphics are still strong, but there is a hint of rust underlying the painted surface on her wings.

She is about 5 inches long and 5 inches at her highest.Please enlarge and look at photos carefully.
