BALTIMORE SILVERSMITHS STERLING PITCHER; HAND HAMMERED c1905; EXCELLENT CONDITION

We are pleased to offer this turn of the century Baltimore Silversmiths Mfg. Co. hand hammered water pitcher.

Founded in Baltimore in 1903 by Frank Schofield. In 1905 name changed to Herr-Schofield and in 1930 Schofield Co.

This pitcher bears the original Gothic B in the hallmark (see image).

As such made between 1903 and 1905.

In tapering form.

Acanthus framed oval medallion with Art Deco ABH to center. United by swirling leaf and vine.

All over hand hammered surfaces. The thousands of soft hammer punch marks shimmer in natural light.

Hallmarked as shown.

Baltimore Silversmiths Co. water pitcher is 9 1/2 inches tall weighs 25 1/2 (standard) ounces.

In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous parcel gilt patina. Stands perfectly firm on table or display shelf. Tiny pinhead top handle.
