This is a very cool car bank! I read up on the Banthrico products and they do have history. It seems they were first introduced in the 1950\'s as a gift when opening a bank account. This Chevy is 7\" long and 2 3/4\" wide and is heavy. You need to unscrew the screws on the bottom to get the coins out. This one has been opened. I think I got this at a flea market in the 1980\'s. It was taken care of. The bottom says ©1974 Banthrico Chicago. It will be hard to let this go as it just has such detail and it looks classic. I hope it goes to a good home.
