Offered here is a 1959-1960 Baumritter Ethan Allen solid maple custom wall unit with three desks (one at each end and one drop down Secretary style)and Sherwood stereo speakers built into two cabinets (working!) and two maple chairs.If you know Ethan Allen furniture, you already know this is quality, solid wood furniture. If you don\'t know, take a look online at new and used prices. These pieces hold their value very well, and last a lifetime! For this price you could buy pressboard at Walmart or cheaply constructed, flimsy pieces at Ikea, but this is solid wood and would literally cost thousands of dollars new. I just don\'t have the room to store it, and my house is already full!Two of the cabinet units have Sherwood speakers built into them, and they work beautifully and have great sound!The analog speakers in these alone are easily worth $2000. Take a look and do some research!The speaker cabinets were part of the original design, but it looks as though these are not the original speakers, which is a good thing! Don\'t know when they were replaced. (In the first photo, you will see three double door lower cabinets sort of center area. The left and right hand cabinets conceal speakers, the center one is purely storage. If I were keeping this set I would replace the fabric on these three units, which is extremely easy to do.)The entire unit, if placed together as in the photo, is almost 13 feet long.These pieces can be separated into two or more separate groupings, or configured a number of different ways to accommodate your space.These pieces are from the 1959-1960 Baumritter Ethan Allen collection, and were used in the home of the original purchaser since that time. They do have expected wear and signs of use, which many find charming. They also installed an earthquake proof bracket system on the rear side for safety.The left hand desk and the center storage unit need a bit of wood glue on the top seams.If you are looking for brand new, spotless cookie cutter furniture, this isn\'t for you...
