I am selling this Bausch Lomb 1916 US Navy WWI Telescope Mark XXVI #3 for a friend.Thisis a cool piece. This telescope measures 23\" long, made out of brass, and is pretty heavy (about 13 lbs). The surface has somewear. The black is fading and chipping spots. The lenses need to be cleaned andmay have some minor scratching. The plaque reads: \"Bausch & Lomb Opt. Co.Rochester, N.Y. Telescope U.S. Navy-Bureau of Ordnance Mark: XXVI Mod: 3 No.1771 C.H.D. Inspector\".Alsoit is stamped on a collar (?) \"PAT. NOV. 1, 1904 JAN. 11, 1916\"Please see the photos below for further details. In one picture, I have pulled this piece a part, which you are able to access the optical lens. I do not know if that part is suppose to twist like the rest but it does not. If you have any questions, please ask before buying. Because I am selling this for another person, I am selling it as is with no refunds (sorry). Also note this is heavy, and I will try to find the lowest possible shipping rate.
