This incredibly beautiful oil on canvas painting was created in 19th century France and used in the development of an Aubusson woven.
The design features a center bouquet with a peony, tulips, morning glories and other flowers and leaves framed by continuous stems of lilacs and leaves.
The colors include tones of blue, aqua, lavender, pink, red, purple, rose, pink, taupe, olive, green, brown, charcoal, ochre, grey, off-white, dusty lilac and cream.The entire piece measures 32 inches in width by 33 inches in length.
The painting with outer green area measures 29 1/4 inches in width by 31 1/2 inches in length.
The inner painting with the lilac stems wreath measures 22 1/2 inches in width by 23 inches in length..This painting would be absolutely stunning framed!
Condition:
This is an antique painting.
There are deep creases/scratches throughout including a vertical one down the center. There is a chalky circle in the outer green border.
There are faded areas in the green paint and surface dirt and paint smudges in the outer cream colored border.Please see photos for reference.All fabrics, wallpapers and paintings are sold \"as is\".Our items are vintage and some are more than 100 years old.
