Description:
This is a very lovely drawing.
This incredibly lovely antique pencil drawing on vellum was created in France during the 19th century and used in the development of a textile.
The design features a graceful framed damask motif consisting of leaves and stems, scroll work and floral motifs, all embellished with geometric patterns.
The colors are charcoal and grey on antique cream colored paper.

The drawing with the paper mount measures 24 1/2 inches in width by 29 inches in length.
The drawing measures 21 1/4 inches wide by 25 1/2 inches long. This drawing would be wonderful framed!
Condition:
This is an antique drawing.
There are tears around the edges, a couple of holes near the bottom and in the upper left corner.
There are pencil marks, notations and smudges/surface dirt here and there.
There are also some wrinkles and creases in the paper.
There is a horizontal slit in the paper on the right side in the center.Please see photos for reference.This painting is beautiful in spite of its many flaws and an opportunity to own a piece of French history at a very reasonable price.All fabrics, wallpapers and paintings are sold \"as is\".Our items are vintage and some are more than 100 years old.
