Here For sale is a Beautiful Antique Hallmarked Victorian Silver Chain Driven Fusee Open Face, Pocket Watch By John Churcher of Bournemouth. Dated 1891. Comes With Key. This lovely silver English pocket watch No 672 has a London Hallmark \"Q\" (1891) 0.925 silver, the case is in very good condition no dings or scratches, the hinges and catches are good so both back and front open and close nicely, The watch has some nice even pocket wear.
The mineral glass is good no chips one or two very tiny grazing marks (almost invisible). The lovely porcelain dial Signed-- John Churcher, Bournemouth. is very good, one tiny repaired chip at extream edge (almost invisible), no stains or visible hairlines. It has golden spear and whip hands with black Roman numerals with outer minute track and a sub seconds dial at 6- o\'clock, The watch measures 52mm across x 16mm deep.
The Makers Mark is J.W. for-- Joseph Walton, Case Maker and Silver Smith of-- Upper Charles Street, London. E.C. Registered- 1870. It has a full plate, English chain driven fusee jewelled movement No 672. Signed-- John Churcher, Bounnemouth. The English lever escapement is running very well and keeping good time.
Please bear in mind this watch is over 120 years old so there is no guarantee on time keeping though it is running full chain. Another Beautiful 124 Year Old Victorian Antique Collectors Watch. Working well and in good condition.
