Cotton Velvet Woven Valance.Description:
This gorgeous antique valance was woven in cotton velvet and metallic thread in Portugal during the late Renaissance or early 18th century.
Created for the clergy, this design features an all over layout with beautiful vines of exotic flowers and leaves in black and metallic gold.
The trim and fringe are also gold.The fabric measures 63 inches in width by 31 inches in length with fringe; 26 inches without.This HEAVY WEIGHT valance would be beautiful hung or framed but also ideal for pillows or other sewing projects!Condition:
This is antique fabric.
