~Delightful Antique Quilt~

Exceptional primitive antique scrappy STAR string cob web quilt.......This is a wonderful heirloom piece hand made of cotton prints and solids dating the from mid 1800s, with a wonderful antique print fabric backing. This lovely gem is entirely hand pieced and hand quilted. The hand quilting is very nice......I have attempted to show the hand quilting (last couple photos). There is some wear of the fabrics.....especially along the outer borders (which may be a silk fabric, I\'m not certain). This quilt still displays quite nicely and the fabric wear just adds to the rustic charm. There are no stains or holes.
