This is a very attractive porcelain square shaped vase in a flow blue design by Royal Doulton dating to the early 1900\'s.
The Blue Children series (sometimes called Babes in the Wood) was introduced in the 1890\'s and discontinued in the early 1900\'s and showed children at play.
There are scenes on two sides of the vase. One is of two children peeping into a hole in a tree and the other is two girls sheltering from the snow under an umbrella.
The vase stands 3.75\" tall, is 4.75\" across and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks or repairs. There are a few small whitish areas where the applied transer decoration was slightly scuffed but this is under the glaze and happened in manufacture.
It is marked on the base with the Royal Doulton mark from the early 1900\'s and would make a great addition to a Blue Children or Royal Doulton collection!
