Beautiful antique mustard pot. The mustard pot is very attractive, very traditionally designed, with almost petal shapes around the mouth of the bowl and neat hinged lid with a small raised handle on the top. It stands on three legs and has a small handle. There is space in the lid for the spoon. The mustard pot is made from solid silver, it is fully hallmarked on the base, it is marked Birmingham with the date letter i - 1908. The makers mark is A & Co, it is also stamped \'Asprey London\'. The lid also has an assay mark the date letter on the inside. The pot still has it\'s blue glass liner which is still intact, there are a couple of tiny flea bites to the glass, but overall good. The mustard pot comes with a small silver spoon, the spoon is also hallmarked, although the marks are different to the pot. The spoon is stamped Birmingham with the date letter o for 1929. The makers mark is G & S Co Ltd - Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co Ltd. Both items are in good condition, some very slight surface wear but nothing serious. A really stunning silver item.
