Thisbeautiful, handcrafted prayer pipe was crafted from two pieces of black andwhite stone by noted Native American artist John Redtail Freesoul of Santa Fe, NewMexico. He is a well-known artist and makerof Indian ceremonial pipes who is an unregistered member of theCheyenne-Arapahoe tribe.

Mr.Freesoul is a master craftsman and makes some of the most stunning modernsacred pipes. His Native American pipescan be found in many of the finest museums in the world. Each pipe is totally unique and a work orart. This black and white pipe isengraved on the bottom with the artist’s name and is the unique style is alsocopyrighted. His work is stunning andmany of his pipes sell for thousands of dollars.

Eachpart of a Native American pipe represents certain things. The bowl the Earth mother, the stem FatherSky. The channel through the pipe stemand bowl represents the direct connection between all things and Spirit, thestraight and narrow path each human walks to be in relation with Spirit. Thus, when the pipe is joined, all thesethings are joined as one. Duality isgone.

Tome, this sacred pipe represents man’s ability to communicate with the GreatSpirit through the sacred pipe—as symbolized by the white bowl of the pipe locatedon the curved neck of the head of the Great Spirit with two coal-black eyes made of inset stone. For further decoration, there area total of eight, black studs set into the top of the pipe. This contemporary pipe has been blessed and used.
